Thank you for making our 2011 Network Member Conference an amazing event!

Nearly 300 business, civic, government and education leaders from 23 states and the District of Columbia attended the Purpose Built Communities Second Annual Network Member Conference.  Included were leaders from 22 communities engaged in exploring the Purpose Built framework for neighborhood revitalization.

We are grateful to all of you - our speakers, Network Members, partners and guests - for bringing your energy, experience and ideas to share with us and one another in Indianapolis.

We heard words of wisdom and encouragement from several of our nation’s most influential leaders including Warren Buffett and Geoffrey Canada, as well as inspirational ideas and engaging discussions on a variety of topics – from investing in the education pipeline to building a high-capacity lead organization.

The Purpose Built Communities Team is grateful to our founders and Policy Community for investing in hosting a conference dedicated to the formation, cultivation and sustainability of our Network.

This conference was a success because of your participation and desire to establish meaningful connections, share lessons learned, hear about best practices and connect with other members of the Purpose Built Network.  We hope that the time you dedicated to this event was both stimulating and productive.

We will harness the momentum generated by the conference and continue our work with Network Members and interested communities across the country to build brighter futures, strengthen communities and help families break the cycle of poverty.
